What type of work does your organization do?

My groups do everything to support human rights and the respect of human rights, education, including the correction of history, sharing information freely, supporting eachother in our communities and furthering the right and responsibility to vote along with the sacred rights of all human beings. (Sounds like an uphill battle to me now that I read it )

What area of the country do you work in?

south east USA with reach into Canada, Central America as well as the rest of the USA

Who do you work with?

I work with the African American people in my area (my great grandmother was from this area) as well as hispanic and other immigrants to the area when they are in need of trenslation, assistanse through the legal maze, the native groups in the area because my husband is onandaga mohawk. We are everything so we work with all our respective parts to bring dignity and honor to all but my heart is with the African american Task Force coalition

What is the main obstacle your organization encounters that prevents you from doing your work most effectively?

negativity causing residual anger. At times moving forward takes a huge effort that costs the very people we serve to lose sight of what we are trying to share and network for the good of all. I know we can't please all the people all the time, some of the people we have to work with carry baggage they aren't even aware of and it does damage and keeps our group number quite low. Do others have this problem as well?

What do you hope to gain from joining the Rural Innovation Network?

Partnership, Rural Issue Dialogue, Information, Other

we want to widen our scope of networking to freely share grant info, resources and events. Possibly we could start supporting each other better once we can see what we all are about. Each of our goals can easily be widened to include state, region, nation ...etc...
